Advantages of the Project

The Project is in line with UNESCO’s mission to promote peace, security guarantees, sustainable development, human rights, health and longevity, as well as with the main activities of UNESCO. We are making efforts to ensure equitable access to quality education for students and to respond to current global challenges. This is what makes our Project advantageous, as we demonstrate practical steps towards achieving the education goals set by UNESCO.
Advantages in the field of international partnership
Our arsenal includes original innovative technologies (literacy and learning skills, remote education, STEM education, psychological support for participants in the educational process, bridging learning gaps), support programs for teachers and students that allow them to ensure sustainable improvement of the education quality. We aim to actively participate in defining strategies and methods for the development of education at the international level and look forward to working with UNESCO to achieve its goals.
Social advantages
- The Project is an innovative initiative that solves the problem of professional development of teachers working with the war-affected students in Ukraine in order to implement the UNESCO principle of ensuring equitable access to quality education for students. And in this context, it contributes to the achievement of the tenth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, i.e. the goal of reducing inequalities both within and between countries.
- Community engagement. Our team, together with course participants who work in schools in all regions of Ukraine, has organized (and plans to continue organizing in the future) a series of events involving the local community. These events are aimed at discussing the problems of students belonging to the population affected by the Russia’s aggression in Ukraine. Our initiative received a positive response and active support from the public, which allowed us to draw more attention to the needs of students during the war and postwar period, which we are all waiting for, and provided the necessary support for the implementation of our Project.
- Psycho-social rehabilitation and support for students. Our Project aims to improve professional development of teachers in the provision of effective psycho-social support to students affected by war or other global crises. This initiative will help students cope with traumatic experience and successfully integrate into the educational process. The trained teachers will be able to create a positive emotional learning environment that will facilitate psychological rehabilitation and social adaptation of students, helping them to return to normal school life. In particular, the thematic physical activities and relaxation minutes we have developed for each lesson will help teachers emotionally support students and overcome the effects of stress caused by military and crisis situations.
The development of students’ skills in NBIC technologies necessary for their successful future in a technologized and informatized world will contribute to the achievement of the ninth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, i.e. the goal of inclusive and sustainable industrialization through the introduction of STEM education in the educational process of schools.
Educational advantages
- Professional development of teachers that meets the challenges of wartime, as well as providing them with professional and personal support through training, supervision, and the creation of an online community for the exchange of ideas, the best practices, discussion and overcoming difficulties.
- A significant increase in the level of students’ academic achievement due to the course participants’ mastery of the authors’ innovative educational technologies and free access to scientific and training-methodological resources accumulated over the 15-year implementation of the educational system of the Research and Educational Project “Intellect of Ukraine” in the practice of the 1st–11th grades (4256 schools) in all regions of our country. This Project is recognized as one of the leaders of innovative educational transformations aimed at improving the quality of education in the country.
