CRITERION 1
Professional growth of the course participants
—
Our Project is an innovation aimed at solving the problem of professional development of teachers working with students from the population affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and war in Ukraine. As part of it, starting in 2020, we are conducting an experimental research aimed at determining the effectiveness of the Project according to established criteria and indicators. Overall, the research is conducted three times each year: at the beginning of the courses, after course participants complete the program, and one year later to assess coaching effectiveness. In 2020, it covered 1462 participants; in 2021, 2941 participants; in 2022, 2374 participants; and in 2023, 2612 participants. The research employs various data collection methods, including expert assessments, focus groups, participants’ achievement monitoring, observation, testing, questionnaires, surveys, and interviews, in addition to mathematical statistical analysis of experimental data.
The research has revealed the dynamics of indicators in the levels of professional growth (dispositions, knowledge, practical skills and abilities) of the participants of professional development courses for teachers under the Project “Education for the Sake of Life: Ukrainian Context” for all categories of teachers (grades 1–11) in the following areas:
- Mastering strategies and tools for remote learning.
- Mastering the individualized technology for students to overcome learning gaps and prevent the phenomenon of illiteracy.
- Mastering the technology of forming students’ ability to study.
- Mastering the technology of STEM education.
- Mastering the technology of psychological support for participants in the educational process aimed at emotional support and psychological first aid.
